Pugliainbici Rent a Bike - Info bicycle rental in Puglia

Bicycle rentals are subject to the following rules and conditions:

• Puglia in Bici bikes are available for rental to Italians and all foreigners.

• The rental period is 24 hours. However, delivery and pickup of the bicycles is only available between 9.00 - 19.30.

• Rental fees may be paid in cash, by credit card (Visa or Mastercard), Swift bank transfers or Paypal. Prearranged rentals must be guaranteed by credit card but final payment may be made in cash.

Prior to, or at the time of, rental

• All prearranged rentals, and pickup/delivery services, must be guaranteed with a credit card and a 50% deposit at the time of booking. The remainder of payment is due on the rental start date. See below for Cancellation Policies.

• All walk-in rentals made at our rental location in Monopoli must be paid in full at the time of rental.

• For rentals exceeding 3 days, the booking must be confirmed at least 7 days in advance and must specify the number of bicycles required, and is subject to the above stated deposit policy.

• A valid identity document or passport is required at the time of rental.

• Local contact information and an emergency contact number must be provided at the time of rental.

• A valid credit card must be provided as a security deposit, or a total of 100,00 € cash. The security deposit will be returned (or credit card imprint destroyed) upon return of the bicycle in acceptable condition with all its accompanying accessories.

• A liability release form must be signed at the time of rental, or faxed to our office in the case of advance bookings, prior to the rental bike consignment date.

• All rental bikes come supplied with a personal lock, repair kit, pump and carrybag with map case. Helmets are available at a nominal extra charge.

During the period of the rental

• The provided helmet must be worn at all times while riding and must be properly clipped under the chin so as to ensure that the helmet will not fall off in case of an accident.

• In the instance that the renter notices any missing or damaged equipment or accessories provided by Puglia in Bici, the renter must call our office and report this information prior to leaving on the first bike ride.

• Bicycles are to be used for their intended purpose and may not be entrusted or rerented to any other person.

• Rental bikes must be kept locked at all times when the bike is unattended, with the provided personal lock.

• Renters must respect the street signs, the pedestrian traffic, the other means of transport and the rules of the Italian Street Code.

• The renter accepts all responsibility during the rental period for damages to any property, injury to other people and damages to the bicycle itself.

Upon termination of the rental period

• A Puglia in Bici representative will verify the condition of the bike, accessories and optional extra equipment supplied to be sure that everything is in the same condition as at the start of the rental period.

• The security deposit will be returned to the renter in full, provided that the bicycle, accessories and all optional extra equipment are returned in the same condition in which they were consigned to the renter.

• Assessed damages, loss or theft will be charged as per below:

  -	Helmet 30,00 €
  -	Lock 30,00 €
  -	Bicycle bag 20,00 €
  -	Multi-use key 10,00 €
  -	Bike pump 10,00 €

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Bookings of 1-3 days require 48 hours advance notice of cancellation or are subject to 100% penalty. Cancellations made within the penalty period are subject to a 5 Euro administration fee.

• Bookings of 4-7 days require 5 days advance notice of cancellation or are subject to 100% penalty. Cancellations made within the penalty period are subject to 15 Euro administration fee.

• Cancellation of delivery and pickup services are subject to the same conditions as above.

CANCELLATION FOR UNFAVOURABLE WEATHER CONDITIONS

Cancellations due to poor weather conditions may be made with the following options:

• Rebook the reservation for a future date at no charge (based on availability)

• Receive a credit for the full amount for a future rental (valid for 1 year)

• Obtain a refund of 50% if the amount paid is at least 100,00 Euro.
